SALT
Sources
Salt can come from two different sources, sea water and halite (rock salt). Halite arises because of sedimentation on places where seas or lakes are dried up. Salt beds are created and because of the movement of the earth plates pushed down. They can become very big and very deep. These salt beds can be found in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina. These salt beds are extracted by mining or solution mining.
