SALT
Growing salt
It is possible to grow your own salt crystals by making an unsaturated solution. To do this some materials are needed: table salt, demineralized water, funnel, filter paper, a glass cup, rope, and a lid or cover.
To make the unsaturated solution it is needed to heat up a bit of water. Then add salt until it doesn’t dissolve anymore. Add a little bit of water until all the salt is dissolved. Filter this solution into the glass cup using the filter paper. Leave the solution for a couple of days, without a cover or lid. Some small crystals will be formed. These crystals are the base for the growing experiments.
Make another solution, then bind the biggest crystal to a piece of rope and hang it in the solution, make sure it is approximately in the middle. Cover the cup, so no dust can affect it, now just wait and your crystals will start growing.
